It used to be when you heard the word "garden", you thought only of tomatoes, green beans and corn.  These days, people take gardens more seriously and make them more of a personal reflection of themselves.

I myself used to plant rows of stuff in hopes that I would get enough to can or freeze for the winter.  Most of the time, the critters ate a lot before I could get to it.

It frankly was just an exercise in frustration.  For one summer, I told my husband to just forget it. I didn't want to deal with the weeding, the rabbits, the deer, etc.

However, I found that I missed gardening somewhat when I didn't have it.  I decided to try to figure out how I could make it more pleasurable and relaxing for me.   I started looking at some garden photos online and figured that I would make my garden a place of peace and someplace I would enjoy spending time in.

I started by putting a design on paper.  I added some paver stones, a little shed for supplies, and then added some nice decorations.  My garden is about 200 yards from my house, so it was important for me to have everything close by when I am gardening, rather than having to haul stuff every time from the garage.

My friends told me I should post photos and write about my experience.  Well, I didn't get the photos this year and now it's winter.  Now that I'm kind of stuck inside, I'm finding the time to write about it. I'll be sure to get nice photos next spring.

Beautiful Turquoise Lantern for the Gardener
Gardeners love to personalize their space.

More and more these days, people like to make their flower garden show their personality. Lanterns are very trendy these days.

This is a true beauty. It's solar and comes with the batteries. All you have to do is hang it up. You can hang it on a shepherd's hook or from a tree.

Trendy Cocktail Herb Kit
This is a cool and unique gift.

How cool would it be to plant your own herbs and seasonings for cocktails? This is a great gift for the person who loves to garden and lives organic.

This kit comes with everything you need to grow six different plants. Then harvest the plants, follow the recipes included, and enjoy!

Semi-Portable Greenhouse For Your Favorite Gardener
I think this is the cat's meow for gardeners.

This small greenhouse is very affordable and is easy to put up. This has shelves and open space where you can put a small work table.

This makes a great gift for the gardener who already has everything. This would go along with some seedling supplies. For less than $100, you can have your own greenhouse up in about an hour.

Cute Fairy Statue For Gardeners
I found this adorable little garden statue.

It's a couple of best friends mini fairies you can set in your garden. The colors are subtle and sure to blend into any setting.

This is a nice gift from one friend to another. Someone who spends a lot of time and takes pride in their garden would love this.
